Originally steam powered but converted to electricity in 1957 the Great Orme tram is a popular tourist attraction at Llandudno, Wales. Originally opened in 1902 it closed in 1932 after a crash, but re-open in 1934. Due to the steep climb it is cable hauled and carries around 160,000 passengers a year.
