The spa town of Buxton in Derbyshire is famous for its waters.  The Romans called it Aquae Arnemetiae, valuing it's geo-thermal springs, which have been a place of pilgrimage ever since.
There is a wealth of beautiful architecture, fascinating shops and restful parks all of which have made it a popular tourist destination too.
